The Vennetti Family
Over the years, many organizations, individuals and families have contributed their time and funds to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Vennetti Family is one of these dedicated families, and they have gone above and beyond to make sure children with life-threatening conditions receive the wishes they deserve.
Since 1989, the family has worked tirelessly at building their business, Vee Pak, Inc., a full service contract packaging company. As the millennium approached and Vee Pak became more successful, they felt they needed to give back, and thus began their relationship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Mike Vennetti was the first to donate to the Foundation, and he encouraged his family and the company as a whole to donate as well. Today, the joy of giving has spread throughout Vee Pak and many Vee Pak, Inc., employees have chosen to become involved with Make-A-Wish. Collectively, the family and corporation have adopted nearly 50 wishes over the past 11 years!
When asked about his family's relationship with the Foundation, Ralph Vennetti, Jr. noted that "it is a relationship that started small, but is one that has grown. It is wonderful to see that our co-workers see the same value that we see in the Make-A-Wish Foundation."
All told, the Vennetti family has given or raised nearly $1 million to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois. Sadly, the family's patriarch, Ralph Sr., recently passed away. The three Vennetti sons, Ralph Jr., David and Mike, are committed to continuing their spport of the Foundation in honor of their father.
"As children, my brothers and I knew how much we were valued by our parents," explained Ralph Vennetti, Jr. "We were fortunate to enjoy many good times together yet recall how devastating it was for our parents when we faced serious health issues of our own."
Their generous support and continued commitment to helping Make-A-Wish create magical experiences for courageous children makes the Vennetti family Leaders In Joy.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation does NOT solict donations through telemarketing or door-to-door.
