Tributes And Memorials
By making a gift to The Make-A-Wish Foundation® in honor or in memory of a loved one, you are "paying forward" the good that someone has done in your life.
Gifts in memory
Memorial donations are a meaningful way to pay tribute to a relative, friend, or colleague who has passed away.
Gifts in honor
Honor donations are a way to thank someone special in your life or to congratulate an accomplishment.
Gifts in celebration
When planning your next big event, consider a contribution "in lieu of favors/gifts" that will make wishes come true!
How To Make A Gift
- Mail your gift to our office (be sure to include the name and address of the acknowledgee so that we can send a tribute card)
- Make your gift online
- Send a personalized greeting card, e-card, or print a certificate for a specific occasion (select the ‘Give Online' button)
Consider these occasions to make tribute gifts:
| Birthday | Hostess gift |
| Anniversary | New Job |
| Wedding | Family Reunion |
| New Baby | Graduation |
| Mother's/Father's Day | Thanksgiving |
| Feel Better | Just to say... "I'm thinking of you" |
Wedding Wishes
As you prepare for the wedding of your dreams, you can help make dreams come true for special children.
A donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation is the perfect way to celebrate your new life together. Whether you make a donation in honor of your guests, in memory of loved ones who cannot be with you on your special day, or in lieu of gifts, your contribution will help to make the wishes of children struggling with life-threatening medical conditions come true -- a gift that is truly priceless. "I just wanted to take a moment and tell you how much I use and enjoy the e-cards on the Make-A-Wish site. I work in graduate admissions and whenever students mention an event/birthday/surgery/personal achievement/loss or other [event], I make a note in my Outlook calendar to send them an e-card. I get such a positive response, so much so that a few of my colleagues now use them also!"
