Volunteering

You can help make the wishes of special children come true in your local community when you become a volunteer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois. Our volunteers range in age from 18 to 84, and include men and women who live and work throughout the state of Illinois. Time commitments and volunteer needs vary by community. Please contact the Volunteer Services Team with questions about the needs in your area.

Currently, our highest need for Event Volunteers...
- Residents of Central Illinois including, but not limited to the following counties: Peoria, Madison, St. Clair, Rock Island, McLean and Champaign.
Elementary, high school and college aged students can get involved through our Kids for Wish Kids and Wish Makers on Campus programs. These are programs for schools throughout Illinois that give students the opportunity to sponsor wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions while encouraging community service and promoting leadership.
There is never a waiting list for a wish. All elgible children can begin the wish process as soon as the child and family are ready.
