Connor
Room Redecoration is A Dream Come True
Connor is a 10 year old who is as playful and happy as can be. He lives in Alsip with parents and sister. He is described by his family as a brilliant old soul and is always fun to be around. Connor enjoys being outside with his friends, watching wrestling and challenging his friends on PlayStation.
Diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy in 2004, a heart condition, Connor cannot exert himself too much and needs to use a wheelchair. Through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Connor wished for his room to be redone in the style of an Apple Store. With help from designer Kevin Grace from HGTV's Design Star and Lumber Liquidators, everyone came together to grant the wish for Connor.
Kevin Grace and Make-A-Wish volunteers planned every detail and design for Connor's room from floor to ceiling, including all of the furniture in it. Designed to reflect Connor's personality and his favorite things, the room became a clean, sleek place for him to kick back as he grows up. Connor was so overwhelmed by his new room and is excited to spend a lot of time in his new personalized space.
"This is wonderful," Connor's mom said to a local news station about the wish. "If Make-A-Wish could do this for my child, there are so many other children they could do this for!"

Make-A-Wish does NOT solict donations through telemarketing or door-to-door.
